First lecture in the series of lectures called “Friday Good Talks” organized by Ukraine NGO Forum
On Friday, 8th of April, Ukraine NGO Forum initiate “Friday Good Talk” – a series of thought-provoking and pertinent short lectures (20 min) on relevant and sometimes provocative topics for Forum members and donors in an informal setting and followed by an interactive discussion.
The theme of the first meeting – “The hitchhiker’s guide to Ukraine- particularities, values, and stereotypes,” by Yevhen Hlibovytsky, who is opinion maker, well known intellectual and straight talker. Founder of pro.mova, an independent think tank dedicated to values research and focused on modernization issues in the former Soviet countries, Mr. Hlibovytsky is also a member of the Nestor Group, which seeks to develop a long-term vision for Ukraine. He also lectures at Kyiv-Mohyla Business School and Lviv Business School at the Catholic University. Previously, Mr. Hlibovytsky was a journalist in Ukraine, and in 2002 he co-founded 5 Kanal. Mr. Hlibovytsky graduated from the Faculty of Political Studies at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
