International conference about the right to pension in the context of armed conflict in Ukraine will take place in Kyiv soon

Since November 2014 people residing in non-governmental controlled areas face barriers in the access to pensions. During the conference NRC is inviting to  discuss how similar problems were addressed in the other countries of the region (Georgia, Moldova, Balkan countries), relevant cases of the European Court for Human Rights will be highlighted as well as the experts from the Council of Europe will facilitate discussion on the applicable norms of the European Convention on Human Rights and European Social Charter; Members of the Parliament of Ukraine and the representatives of the Ministry on Temporary Occupied Territories and IDPs will discuss possible solutions for Ukraine.
