Ukraine NGO Forum provides a “Monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian projects” training
Ukraine NGO Forum invites to apply for a “Monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian projects” training which will take place in Kyiv on November, 29-30, 2016, from 10:00 till 18:00. Supported by ECHO and GOAL.
The training is specially tailored to meet the needs of the staff of national and international NGOs involved to humanitarian response in Ukraine, with practical experience of designing and analyzing M&E tools, designing data collection questionnaires (for ex. vulnerability forms), working with databases etc.
All travel and accommodation expenses are covered by Ukraine NGO Forum.
The goal of the training is to provide an overview of the basic principles and methodologies for program monitoring on each stage of the humanitarian project cycle with emphasis on practical application for humanitarian workers.
By the end of this course the participants will be able to:
- Understand the principles underlying the selection of an appropriate design for program evaluation and monitoring in humanitarian projects
- Understand how to design research tools, identify data sources and methods used to acquire information to assess program impact
- Able to design a strategy to monitor a program on each stage of the humanitarian program cycle and/or assess impact.
Facilitator: Iaroslav Zelinsky, MA in social work with focus on specifics of monitoring end evaluation systems of NGOs. Iaroslav has extensive knowledge and practice in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems (both NGO-based and cross-sectoral). He was in charge for development and modernization of monitoring system of national Ukrainian NGO that provides services to more than 70000 beneficiaries in all regions of Ukraine. Iaroslav is also a guest lecturer on monitoring and evaluation systems of Kyiv Mohyla Academy one of the most prestigious Ukrainian Universities.

Participants will be selected competition based. Priorities would be given to Ukraine NGO Forum members and NGOs responding to humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
