New cycle of trainings on Sphere humanitarian standards has launched

Ukraine NGO Forum is pleased to invite you to participate in a “Sphere: Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Disaster Response” training that is offered with support OFDA and DRC/DDG.

The Sphere Handbook, Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response, is one of the most widely known and internationally recognized sets of common principles and universal minimum standards in life-saving areas of humanitarian response.

Where: Kyiv, venue TBA
When: March 2-3, 2017, from 10:00 till 17:00

• Sphere handbook overview
• Humanitarian Charter and Humanitarian Principles
• Protection Principles
• Core Humanitarian Standard and Project Cycle
• Code of Conduct
• Sphere technical chapters: WASH, Shelter, Health, Food security and nutrition

Who can participate:
• All program staff of national or international NGOs working in humanitarian assistance;
• Up to 2 people from 1 NGO can apply for the training.


If you wish to participate in the training, please fill out this online form by February 21, 2017. Participants will be selected competition based. Priorities would be given to Ukraine NGO Forum members and/or NGOs responding to humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Travel and shared room accommodation expenses are covered by Ukraine NGO Forum.

?Training will be conducted by certified Sphere project trainers.
?Participants will receive certificates and a copy of Sphere handbook in Russian upon completion of the workshop.
?Working language of the training would be Russian or Ukrainian based on majority requests from participants.
