The “Building Better Response” training was held in Kyiv

Ukraine NGO Forum conducted the first “Building Better Response” training, offered by Humanitarian Academy of Harvard, in Kyiv. Supported by USAID, ECHO and GOAL.

Trainers Kirk Prichard and Michelle Dann from Concern Worldwide U. S., introduced extensive and balanced in theory and practive programm. During the two days sessions participants from local and international NGOs operating in Ukraine got into deep learning of the humanitarian sphere to understand the basics of humanitarian programming and especially international coordination, how to access the main sources of funding within the international system, apply the humanitarian laws and principles, as well as principles of partnership.

The theory blocks were mixed with active group exercises and discussions. At the end of the training participants presented their humanitarian programs designed with regard of the humanitarian programme cycle.

All the participants got the certificates from Humanitarian Academy of Harvard on the training completion.
